How do you collect information about me?

We collect information in only two ways. First, we record every request that all users make for pages from our site. For instance, we have recorded the fact that you have clicked on this page. This information is not personally identifiable (we don't know your name or your address) but we do analyze it.

The second way that we collect information is by recording information you give us. When you make a purchase we obviously have to record your name and shipping information, and we use that to send your packages to you. We use this contact information only in regards to your order. Customers who opt-in to our newsletter will receive emails from us, which always includes a link to be removed from the list.

Who do you give this information to?

We never pass your personal information on to any third party, except to our bank for purposes of charging your credit card, and to vendors involved in shipping your purchase to you. Obviously, UPS or Fed/Ex can't deliver without your name and address, and the bank cannot charge your credit card without appropriate information.

How long have you been in business?

Appliance Help is a part of Eldis, Inc., which has been in business since the 1940's. We are a family-owned company, and have been dealing in appliances and appliance parts for over 50 years.

What do you need my email address for?

We use your email address because it is the best way of contacting you. We'll contact you by email:

  • When you place an order
  • When any items from your order ship
  • To confirm your cancellation
  • To confirm that you will be returning an item
  • To verify your address if there is a delivery issue
  • To alert you of a refund to your card

In some situations we may call you, especially if there is a problem delivering your package. That's why your correct email and phone number are so important.

What's your return policy?

We allow you to return any part for any reason within 30 days. We only ask that the part be fit for resale. What does this mean? It means that if you wouldn't accept it in the condition it's in, probably no one else will. If the item is damaged in shipping, we'll refund you for that (but you have to let us know within 10 days so we can make a claim with the shipper).
