This drip bowl, also known as the drip pan or burner bowl, is 6 inches in internal diameter to match the burner, but actually measures closer to 8 inches in total diameter to its outer edges. This authentic manufacturer-approved part is used to catch spills from cooking on the top burner. If your bowls are getting stained, dirty, or rusted, this replacement can solve it. First, remove the element from the stove top, and pull out the old drip pan. Insert the new bowl and make sure it is aligned to where the element is plugged in. Lastly, you can put the element back in. For safety precautions, make sure to unplug the range from the power source and wait until the surface is cool before replacing this part. This part is sold individually, if you are replacing more than one drip bowl on your stove at once, you will need to account for this. This Drip Bowl, also known as a burner bowl or drip pan, is made to fit an element 8 inches in diameter and comes in chrome. The actual total diameter of this drip bowl is closer to 10 inches, but don't worry, it will fit your 8-inch burner. This bowl is used to catch drippings and food that falls when cooking on the oven element. The drip bowl might burn, become rusty, and wear down over time, and will need to be replaced. Replacing the drip pan is very easy. The elements on the oven must be removed to access the pan underneath. When replacing the bowl, make sure to line up the hole with the terminal block where the element plugs into, and always remove power to your appliance and ensure it is completely cool before commencing your repair. The flat style oven igniter kit comes with a mounting bracket and a wire connector with a plug. The igniter kit is used to light the oven burner. If you notice that your oven will not heat up properly, the igniter kit may need to be replaced. This flat style gas oven igniter has a body length of 3-3/4 inches. When completing this repair, the connector plug might need to be removed and spliced to the range wiring using porcelain wire nuts. The igniter glowed, but never got hot enough to ignite the propane, so I did smell propane.

First, I removed the two screws that held the heat shield in place. Second, I removed the one screw that held a small wire covering. That covering kept the wires inside the back wall of the range. Third, I removed the two screws that held the Igniter Kit, and unplugged it from the back of the range. I then carefully put the new igniter in, and reassembled everything in reverse order. It only took about 30 minutes to do the repair, and 30 minutes of cleaning and wiping of the broiler area. (It is amazing what you see when you take things apart). I should have been wiping things up over the past few months. Overall, a very easy repair. I ordered the part at 12:30 in the afternoon, and FedEx delivered it the next morning at 11:30, all for the regular shipping price of $6.95. VERY HAPPY..... Read more...

The bake element is located on the bottom of the oven. If your oven will not heat properly it may be due to a faulty or damaged baking element. If you can see that the element has been separated or blistered, you should replace the part immediately. If there is no visible damage, turn the oven on and check to see if the element heats evenly. If the element is not heating evenly, or if it is not heating at all, it will need to be replaced. This element is 19 inches wide x 19 inches long, and has male spade push on terminals.

oven element burned itself up

Turned off circuit breaker to range.
Removed the 2 oven racks. Removed two screws in back of oven compartment. Pulled element forward and the terminal connections get exposed.
The right terminal clip disconnected by itself and the wire went back into the stove and could not be retrieved.
Removed range draw under the oven and pulled entire range out from wall about 4 feet.. Removed metal backing with a socket wrench and exposed the oven element wires and terminals.
Reinstalled new element and metal backing.
Since range was out from wall, cleaned and vacuumed before pushing stove back in place.
Since range draw was out re-leveled by setting adjustable feet.
Reinstalled drawer and racks.
Turned on circuit breaker.
