Laundry Accessories Door Catch Kit
★★★★★
★★★★★
125 Reviews
PartSelect Number PS334230
Manufacturer Part Number 279570
This part replaces your appliances latch (Door Latch Kit, Door Catch, Dryer Door Latch Kit). On your appliance you will find both a strike and a catch. The strike is mounted on the body of the dryer, while the catch is mounted on the dryer door. These two parts work together to keep your dryer door closed. The catch holds the door strike to keep the door closed during the drying cycle. If the door does not latch closed, you won’t be able to start a drying cycle. If this part is malfunctioning, you may not be able to open or close your door. In some instances, it may seem like your door is closing, but if it is not latching properly you won’t be able to start your drying cycle. You should replace this part as soon as it’s malfunctioning. Your dryer may run even though the latch is malfunctioning, but it is unsafe if the dryer continues to run while the door is open. This replacement part features 1 door latch kit which includes 2 strikes, 3 catches, and a set of instructions. This model is constructed of plastic and metal, and comes in white/silver.

Door Catch part had fallen out,/ was missing
Received your parts, Popped them both right into place, Even though only one side needed to be replaced, I wanted them to match up. It was amazing how easy this was. My husband was quite impressed I had ordered these rather then look for either a new or used dryer from some other source. Read more...

Washer pulsator was coming loose during wash cycle.
Since the old pulsator had actually come off during a wash cycle, I was able to place the new one on easily. Tightened the screw with a socket. Then placed the new cap on. Before placing the new pulsator on, I was able to clean all the mold and hard deposits off the mechanism under the pulsator. The hard deposits were also scrapped from the pulsator holding (where the screw goes) which may have caused the problem to begin with. Read more...

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great. Read more...

PartSelect Number PS2349356
Manufacturer Part Number 137006200
This latch attaches to the pedestal cabinet and engages the drawer strike to keep the drawer closed. If your drawer is not closing properly or your latch is damaged, this is the part you will need to replace. This part is white in color, and it made entirely of plastic. This part is 1-1/2 inches in length and 2 inches in width. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This part is sold individually. To complete this repair, you will need to take the drawer off the sliders. At this point, you will be able to access the latch and swap it out.

The Pedestal Latch Broke
I found the right part by looking at YouTube videos. Ordered from PartSelect and it arrived within a week. I looked at directions PartSelect had given to others and I also re-watched the videos. To remove the pedestal drawer you need a Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench or the exact size spanner or a socket set (if you have straight-on access which I didn't). I didn't feel like going out to the hardware store so I used my Felco Pruners to remove and reinstall the pedestal drawer. I just held the nut gently in the jaws of the pruners and it worked great for the removal and not quite as well for the reinstall of the drawer, but still ok under the circumstances. The most valuable piece of advice that PartSelect gave someone else is which side of the pedestal latch goes up. It's the side that has an extra indentation. Now that I've put in the new pedestal latch, I'm never using the pedestal drawers again. I've moved all my laundry supplies to baskets on the counter, because I read reports from others that these latches break all the time and I don't relish replacing a $55 part every year or so. However, I'm grateful to PartSelect for having the part, providing instructions, and shipping in a timely manner. Read more...

washing machine was leaking at bottom of door and on left side from the dispenser asm. bellow was replaced & door hinge was bad
watched the video provided on site, very helpful for bellow replacement. there was no door hinge video. ordering parts for the bellow replacement, one clamp was on one page of the manual and the other clamp was on the other page, so look at the manuals provided so you can get the right part. the bellow i ordered was suppose to be for the model i have. the part ordered had a drain on the bottom, my bellow did not have a drain so i bought a brass plug, some RTV and a small clamp and fitted the RTV to the plug and installed and fitted the small clamp. All works fine. they do have a part number without the drain at the bottom and would be helpful if the user manual for the model had the exact replacement part number listed, I.E. if customer has a model number it is confirmed or not if that model number has a drain port. i was going to send 2 of the 4 extra clamps for hoses i ordered and clamp for the bellow that was wrong back for credit. i was told i could dispose of the items when i requested a shipping label and i was credited the amount + a $10 nuisance rebate. This Business IMO has exemplary customer service and with my experience i would recommend them Read more...

Laundry Accessories SEAL-SHAFT
★★★★★
★★★★★
1 Review
PartSelect Number PS11746864
Manufacturer Part Number WP91939
This OEM upper transmission shaft seal, also known as the oil seal, is found in your washers and dryers. It acts as a barrier to prevent water from leaking into the transmission assembly. It measures 1/2 inch in height with a 1-inch diameter, and is located at the top of the transmission shaft where it enters the tub. Signs of a broken seal include water stains, dampness, or pooling of water beneath the appliance. If left unreplaced, it can result in water damage to internal components, along with the potential for corrosion, mold growth, and unpleasant odors. To remove the shaft seal, consult your user guide for specific instructions. Start by shutting off the power and water supply. Remove the water hoses and drain hose, being cautious of any water that may leak out. You will need tools like a putty knife, screwdriver, nut driver, pliers, spanner, plastic mallet, and a socket set. Open the lid and proceed to remove the agitator assembly, detach the control panel, and disconnect any necessary wiring harnesses. Remove the cabinet and water break. Continue disassembling the inner tub until you can lift it out of the appliance and tilt it onto its back, propping it up with a block. This will allow access to the transmission assembly from beneath the appliance. Remove the mounting fasteners on the pump to reach the motor assembly. Once the motor assembly is out, further disassemble it to access the basket drive. The seal can be removed from the top of the shaft of the drive tube, below the thrust ring. When purchasing parts for your appliance repair, it is important to remember that your appliance uses various seals and gaskets. It is important to ensure that you purchase the correct part when making repairs.

drive shaft leaking
Washer was leaking -- in part from hoses that had loosened over time due to unbalanced loads and age, and partly from a worn pump -- and not agitating/spinning properly. Fixed hoses, replaced pump and clutch. Unfortunately, when I pulled apart direct drive to replace clutch, the drive shaft started leaking because old seals worn and compromised on disassembly. Have to give credit where due -- YouTube invaluable here -- pulled and disassembled drive shaft, removed old seals, replaced and reassembled. Time consuming, but if you keep track of where things go, not too bad. 3 things I wish I knew in advance: (1) for an old washer you definitely need a spanner nut wrench (like 15-25 bucks online) to remove the spanner nut so you can pull the basket and get to the seals -- no wrench/pliers/vise substitute will do the trick; (2) the shaft seals have metal washers inside the rubber/plastic -- when you're removing the old seals, you might need to chisel (hammer and small flat head screwdriver) the old seals out instead of just pulling out the corroded rubber which will leave the old metal behind; (3) if your time is valuable, try to diagnose all the likely sources of your problem and buy the parts to repair at once rather than doing piecemeal like me. Took me 2 weeks and two complete tear downs to finish a repair that should have taken me an afternoon. I love my local Appliance Parts guy -- he's knowledgeable and usu. has what I need or can get it fast and I like supporting local brick and mortar -- but if time is important to you, taking advantage of online companies that allow you to return what you don't use may save you time. The motor turned with loud noise ,but nothing else worked
I used "Emley's Cheap and Easy Repair" book to remove, install and reassemble the machine.
A lot of time was used to clean the filthy tub and basket.
While replacing the broken motor coupling I decided to replace some of the seals.
PartSelect got the ordered parts to me in a couple of days.
I wouldn't hesitate to do the job again.

Appliance spray paint is a great way to cover up any chips and scratches that have appeared on your appliances. Instead of replacing the part entirely, this is an easy fix. This is also a great way to give a fresh new look to any handles or areas that have discoloring due to wear. Make sure to clean the area before you begin and wear a protective mask for safety. Give the can a good shake and spray a few inches away from the surface. Apply the paint until the area is fully covered as desired. Wait until the paint has dried before using the appliance.

Both outside door handles turned very beige
Everything worked perfectly---thanks to the suggestion of your call center agent. She suggested that since the replacement door handles were no longer available, I should consider repainting them--it worked like a charm. Please tell her she was a life saver. We rent that house in Fl and my returning tenants had complained about the discoloring refer handles. Thank you Read more...
